Liberals are lambs in sheeps clothing.
Let me share with you a story about a Vietnam veteran who was captured and interrogated by the North Vietnamese. During one interrogation the North Vietnamese officer showed him a picture of an anti-war liberal phony (who still ranks above Bill Clinton and other spineless, yellow, draft dodging lower than slime, well you get my point) burning an American Flag. The officer told the American POW that his cause was worthless, because even the people back home didn't agree with him being over there. The POW responded that no, it meant that he was doing a good job, that the freedoms he fought for are shown right in that photograph.
Another story, about a Vietnam vet, captured and interred in inhumane conditions. Using scraps of his uniform and other fabrics, made a hand sewn American flag. When his captures found it, they beat him to within an inch of his life. When they returned him to his cell, he did not cower and conform to the whims of the enemy, he did not submit and think all was lost - he started sewing another flag.
Continuing to listen to this anti-government propaganda makes me physically ill. Instead of doing something about the wrong in this world, some people have instead chose to voice their aggression and disagreements towards the wrong source. No war has ever been started on a gentleman's terms. Wars are ugly necessities, started by ugly reasons, to protect the greater good. Is it not worth more to protect what is most dear, the freedom and greatness of America, than to become objects of violence, unable to retaliate against our enemies because we have become cowering, peace loving beatniks? I would vote for a war mongering republican rather than have someone with absolutely no military experience or training attempting to lead the Greatest Army in the World against the enemies of the state. Clinton proved rather inept at running the country, he ran away from conflict when he was a young man, and cowered behind it again as President.
I am afraid to see what will happen to this country if Obama is elected. If you don't like this country, which guaranteed you did not choose, no one selects where they are too be born - leave. You have to take the good with the bad.
Jet Blue joins the anti-consumer revolution
What charges await us? I can see it now:
"Passengers with tickets in rows a through d may board now. Those wishing to use the jetway please have your five dollar surcharge ready. Those who wish to save money please proceed to the runway where a rope ladder has been erected to allow you to board the plane."
But then if we elect a socialist president, (ahem...read Obama) he will make a windfall tax for the airline industry in order to "share" the weath to lessen the blow of $7 dollar cokes and $10 pillows.
My response to your response...
I don't think it is. And this only proves the point more how brainwashed people become; so much that you would defend a false flag attack against your own country.
*****So, please, no one be shocked if you see a "surprise" attack on the US, come sometime in September or October (right before the election).*****
Oh and I also see how impressionable you have become, Mit, for the simple fact that you are using the same war mongering vocabulary and attempting to stir up the same polarizing nonsense that your current president does: "All of these anti-war propagandists are going to be cowering in fear while real Americans defend this land." -------Alright well that says it....I guess I'm not a real American. As far as I know, I was born a US citizen. As far as I know, I have voted since I was 18. As far as I know, I am an advocate of the Constitution (including the Bill of Rights).
Now I can make the argument that no one except Native Americans are real Americans, but I'm not going to go there right at this moment. I'm going to say this: If your definition of an American is a person who will support its government no matter how illegal and/or immoral the activity, then NO, I'm not an American.....because I'm one of the few people in this country who realize that there is such a thing as choice. I thought that is what we stood for?? I have a good quote for you that I recently read somewhere:
"No man escapes when freedom fails;
The best men rot in filthy jails.
And those that cried "Appease! Appease"!
Are hanged by those they tried to please."

LIberal Socialism
Lets face it, the world is not the same as it was sixty years ago, isolationism is dead. President Ahmadinejad has defied the fact that the Holocaust exists. Openly taunts the United Nations, disrespects anti-nuclear proliferation treaties; confronted a U.S. flagship in NON Iranian waters, yet we should still allow him to continue to operate under such rouges? Its almost embarrassing the way some people are trying to assimilate the United States into Cuba, while we are attempting to defeat Communism and bring freedom to the people of Cuba. While Tehran denied the incident at first, it came out that there was a confrontation between Iranian speed boats and a U.S. Flagship. Iran was not in Iranian waterspace, and therefore violated the sovereignty of Iraq and its ally, the United States who are operating with the permission of the Iraqi government. The commentator in the piece submitted by Sej attempts to illiterate his propaganda and meaning into a written description of a conversation that he received from a third party. No war is started for a good reason, but there are good outcomes to war.
I cannot wait for the day the United States is invaded by another country, because the time will come. People think there is an insurgency in Iraq? I can name a number of people who own small arsenals of personal weapons, (all legally held) that will not stand to have their rights trampled on. All of these anti-war propagandists are going to be cowering in fear while real Americans defend this land.
I have a thought, that one day we will all stand before a judge on judgment day. And next to whatever deity you believe will be there to greet you into the heavenly abyss of Nirvana, will be George Washington and the signors of the Constitution. After your deity passes judgment, it will be the founders turn. Any all too many will hear these great men utter the following words,
"How dare you defile that which we created."

Hmmm...In Order to Provoke War With Iran, Cheney Proposes False Flag Attack
So to add to all the dishonesty and lack of concern for human lives, the admin strikes again..... but the idea was shot down........Aww too bad. I guess you'll have to come up with a legitimate reason to go to war with Iran....well legitimacy might be a stretch for the administration. So, on to the next!

Barack Obama's Stealth Socialism
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Monday, July 28, 2008 4:20 PM PT
Election '08: Before friendly audiences, Barack Obama speaks passionately about something called "economic justice." He uses the term obliquely, though, speaking in code — socialist code.
IBD Series: The Audacity Of Socialism
During his NAACP speech earlier this month, Sen. Obama repeated the term at least four times. "I've been working my entire adult life to help build an America where economic justice is being served," he said at the group's 99th annual convention in Cincinnati.
Democrat Barack Obama arrives in Washington on Monday. On the campaign trail, Obama has styled himself a centrist. But a look at those who've served as his advisers and mentors over the years shows a far more left-leaning tilt to his background — and to his politics.
And as president, "we'll ensure that economic justice is served," he asserted. "That's what this election is about." Obama never spelled out the meaning of the term, but he didn't have to. His audience knew what he meant, judging from its thumping approval.
It's the rest of the public that remains in the dark, which is why we're launching this special educational series.
"Economic justice" simply means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It's a euphemism for socialism.
In the past, such rhetoric was just that — rhetoric. But Obama's positioning himself with alarming stealth to put that rhetoric into action on a scale not seen since the birth of the welfare state.
In his latest memoir he shares that he'd like to "recast" the welfare net that FDR and LBJ cast while rolling back what he derisively calls the "winner-take-all" market economy that Ronald Reagan reignited (with record gains in living standards for all).
Obama also talks about "restoring fairness to the economy," code for soaking the "rich" — a segment of society he fails to understand that includes mom-and-pop businesses filing individual tax returns.
It's clear from a close reading of his two books that he's a firm believer in class envy. He assumes the economy is a fixed pie, whereby the successful only get rich at the expense of the poor.
Following this discredited Marxist model, he believes government must step in and redistribute pieces of the pie. That requires massive transfers of wealth through government taxing and spending, a return to the entitlement days of old.
Of course, Obama is too smart to try to smuggle such hoary collectivist garbage through the front door. He's disguising the wealth transfers as "investments" — "to make America more competitive," he says, or "that give us a fighting chance," whatever that means.
Among his proposed "investments":
• "Universal," "guaranteed" health care.
• "Free" college tuition.
• "Universal national service" (a la Havana).
• "Universal 401(k)s" (in which the government would match contributions made by "low- and moderate-income families").
• "Free" job training (even for criminals).
• "Wage insurance" (to supplement dislocated union workers' old income levels).
• "Free" child care and "universal" preschool.
• More subsidized public housing.
• A fatter earned income tax credit for "working poor."
• And even a Global Poverty Act that amounts to a Marshall Plan for the Third World, first and foremost Africa.
His new New Deal also guarantees a "living wage," with a $10 minimum wage indexed to inflation; and "fair trade" and "fair labor practices," with breaks for "patriot employers" who cow-tow to unions, and sticks for "nonpatriot" companies that don't.
That's just for starters — first-term stuff.
Obama doesn't stop with socialized health care. He wants to socialize your entire human resources department — from payrolls to pensions. His social-microengineering even extends to mandating all employers provide seven paid sick days per year to salary and hourly workers alike.
You can see why Obama was ranked, hands-down, the most liberal member of the Senate by the National Journal. Some, including colleague and presidential challenger John McCain, think he's the most liberal member in Congress.
But could he really be "more left," as McCain recently remarked, than self-described socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (for whom Obama has openly campaigned, even making a special trip to Vermont to rally voters)?
Obama's voting record, going back to his days in the Illinois statehouse, says yes. His career path — and those who guided it — leads to the same unsettling conclusion.
The seeds of his far-left ideology were planted in his formative years as a teenager in Hawaii — and they were far more radical than any biography or profile in the media has portrayed.
A careful reading of Obama's first memoir, "Dreams From My Father," reveals that his childhood mentor up to age 18 — a man he cryptically refers to as "Frank" — was none other than the late communist Frank Marshall Davis, who fled Chicago after the FBI and Congress opened investigations into his "subversive," "un-American activities."
As Obama was preparing to head off to college, he sat at Davis' feet in his Waikiki bungalow for nightly bull sessions. Davis plied his impressionable guest with liberal doses of whiskey and advice, including: Never trust the white establishment.
"They'll train you so good," he said, "you'll start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that sh**."
After college, where he palled around with Marxist professors and took in socialist conferences "for inspiration," Obama followed in Davis' footsteps, becoming a "community organizer" in Chicago.
His boss there was Gerald Kellman, whose identity Obama also tries to hide in his book. Turns out Kellman's a disciple of the late Saul "The Red" Alinsky, a hard-boiled Chicago socialist who wrote the "Rules for Radicals" and agitated for social revolution in America.
The Chicago-based Woods Fund provided Kellman with his original $25,000 to hire Obama. In turn, Obama would later serve on the Woods board with terrorist Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground. Ayers was one of Obama's early political supporters.
After three years agitating with marginal success for more welfare programs in South Side Chicago, Obama decided he would need to study law to "bring about real change" — on a large scale.
While at Harvard Law School, he still found time to hone his organizing skills. For example, he spent eight days in Los Angeles taking a national training course taught by Alinsky's Industrial Areas Foundation. With his newly minted law degree, he returned to Chicago to reapply — as well as teach — Alinsky's "agitation" tactics.
(A video-streamed bio on Obama's Web site includes a photo of him teaching in a University of Chicago classroom. If you freeze the frame and look closely at the blackboard Obama is writing on, you can make out the words "Power Analysis" and "Relationships Built on Self Interest" — terms right out of Alinsky's rule book.)
Amid all this, Obama reunited with his late father's communist tribe in Kenya, the Luo, during trips to Africa.
As a Nairobi bureaucrat, Barack Hussein Obama Sr., a Harvard-educated economist, grew to challenge the ruling pro-Western government for not being socialist enough. In an eight-page scholarly paper published in 1965, he argued for eliminating private farming and nationalizing businesses "owned by Asians and Europeans."
His ideas for communist-style expropriation didn't stop there. He also proposed massive taxes on the rich to "redistribute our economic gains to the benefit of all."
"Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed," Obama Sr. wrote. "I do not see why the government cannot tax those who have more and syphon some of these revenues into savings which can be utilized in investment for future development."
Taxes and "investment" . . . the fruit truly does not fall far from the vine.
(Voters might also be interested to know that Obama, the supposed straight shooter, does not once mention his father's communist leanings in an entire book dedicated to his memory.)
In Kenya's recent civil unrest, Obama privately phoned the leader of the opposition Luo tribe, Raila Odinga, to voice his support. Odinga is so committed to communism he named his oldest son after Fidel Castro.
With his African identity sewn up, Obama returned to Chicago and fell under the spell of an Afrocentric pastor. It was a natural attraction. The Rev. Jeremiah Wright preaches a Marxist version of Christianity called "black liberation theology" and has supported the communists in Cuba, Nicaragua and elsewhere.
Obama joined Wright's militant church, pledging allegiance to a system of "black values" that demonizes white "middle classness" and other mainstream pursuits.
(Obama in his first book, published in 1995, calls such values "sensible." There's no mention of them in his new book.)
With the large church behind him, Obama decided to run for political office, where he could organize for "change" more effectively. "As an elected official," he said, "I could bring church and community leaders together easier than I could as a community organizer or lawyer."
He could also exercise real, top-down power, the kind that grass-roots activists lack. Alinsky would be proud.
Throughout his career, Obama has worked closely with a network of stone-cold socialists and full-blown communists striving for "economic justice."
He's been traveling in an orbit of collectivism that runs from Nairobi to Honolulu, and on through Chicago to Washington.
Yet a recent AP poll found that only 6% of Americans would describe Obama as "liberal," let alone socialist.
Public opinion polls usually reflect media opinion, and the media by and large have portrayed Obama as a moderate "outsider" (the No. 1 term survey respondents associate him with) who will bring a "breath of fresh air" to Washington.
The few who have drilled down on his radical roots have tended to downplay or pooh-pooh them. Even skeptics have failed to connect the dots for fear of being called the dreaded "r" word.
But too much is at stake in this election to continue mincing words.
Both a historic banking crisis and 1970s-style stagflation loom over the economy. Democrats, who already control Congress, now threaten to filibuster-proof the Senate in what could be a watershed election for them — at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue.
A perfect storm of statism is forming, and our economic freedoms are at serious risk.
Those who care less about looking politically correct than preserving the free-market individualism that's made this country great have to start calling things by their proper name to avert long-term disaster.
Another Useless Session of Congress
I am not talking about teachers here. I am talking about the US Congress. I have never known anyone to have a job that pays so much (McCain reportedly earns 163,000 as a Senator) that works so little.
I agree with the Republicans on this one. Not just because I am a card carrying member of the Republican party, but because I think we have suffered long enough. The only reason I am a card carrying member of the Republican party is so I can vote in the primaries...and I am closer to being Republican than I am to being Democrat.
Mr. President, if you do one thing right in your last few months as the Boss, call Congress back to work. Make them do their jobs and help their constituents - do not allow them to vacation, rest, and leisure for over a month while the rest of us take on second and third jobs just to fill our gas tanks.

To help the US get out of Iraq...the rest of the world needs to help Iraq
I was in Iraq when the soccer team had it's better than average run at the soccer championship..and guess what...the country was quite content with not fighting so much and watching their soccer games. We could almost guarantee an ambush or an IED (improvised explosive device) after games when Iraq lost, but so long as they were winning...things were quite (At least in the area that I was in, cannot speak for the entire country). So the IOC, much like the Democratic Party is causing the military in Iraq more hardship, because now once again we are not treating Iraq like a sovereign nation, but an occupied territory.
Lets start giving Iraq's the international respect they deserve.

In other words, its time to take politics back from politicians and back into the hands of the free citizens. We are no longer America, Land of the Free, we are America, Land of the Politician.

Hats off to you....but next time, stay off the road
But anyone who is capable of drinking to that level should know not to get behind the wheel of a car.
So in the safe pursuit of a past time we have enjoyed since the repealing of Prohibition, bottoms up ye faithful longneck drinkers. But do so carefully and responsibly, and don't drink and drive...and don't supply minors with alcohol.

Pull Your Pants Up
This trend was started in prison - and found its way about the streets after that. And to the ACLU that thinks this law targets young men of color - it is, because they are the most frequent abusers of hte waistline. It has nothing to do with the color of their skin though, and everything to do with regaining an image in this country. I hope more cities follow suit.

Another Blue Moon - Its Getting Scary Around Here.
Now I know, he paid into the benefits program, so he deserves to claim it - well apparently people are getting more Social Security than they paid in or the system would not be in trouble. One of the fixes might be that if you make more 100,000 a year, you don't get to collect social security.
McCain has just put himself aligned with people who abuse government social systems like welfare, Medicaid, etc. Just one more reason why I may not be voting come this election period.
If your wondering what I am ranting about, click the title above, "Another Blue Moon" to be redirected to an article published regarding the issue.

FEMA and Looters where are you in the Midwest?
Hopefully you are all sitting down, because this does not happen often, in fact when the sun goes down here I am going to go outside and look to see if there is a blue moon tonight, or even just a full moon; because Mit is about to post something pro-Barack Obama.
I commend him, for being an African-American running for President, and making a comment to other African-Americans to basically stop being lazy and expecting handouts for age old repression claims, and to do something productive about bettering their way of life.
Do not get me wrong, I am not a racist, nor am I a bigot. I do however have a problem with social dregs who feel that society owes them something, and sit around waiting for handouts. This is not an issue that is race related, there are all types of social leeches and pariahs out there. We need to work together as a society to remove such blights to make ourselves look better. Society has but nothing to gain by eliminating the possibility for someone to wait for a handout.
Get a job. Contribute to society. Crime and handouts are not options.

Impeach Bush for Clinton's Crimes
Twice Clinton could have told the Sudanese to rid the world of Osama bin Laden. The man still lives - and fights to this day.
Clinton was warned about the problems with Iraq, and how having Saddam in power destablizes a region that is already volatile enough.
But like typical Democrats someone needs to be the fall guy, and it sure isn't going to be someone from the Democratic Party.
Sure impeach Bush, get your revenge for the impeachment of Clinton, and while your at it, burn a flag, and sell stocks to American companies to Al Qaeda. The democratic mockery of the system is astounding. Kucinich isn't trying to impeach Bush because he wants to be the only member of Congress with the balls enough to stand alone for what the Constitution believes - hes playing on social sentiments of anti-Bushism in order to gain reelection. Let the games begin.
Just as an aside - let me make it very clear that I know the GOP is not the poster child for perfect political candidates, but the impeachment is clearly mudslinging based only on the fact that someone else might have dirtier mud.

On the Essence of Destiny
Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Choose your words, for they become actions.
Understand your actions, for they become your habits.
Study your habits, for they become your character.
Develop your character, for it becomes your destiny.
So before you think about opening your mouth and spouting off venom, fire, brimstone, or mud - think about if this is how you want to be remembered. The world would be a much better place if we all focused on our destiny, starting with the consideration of our thoughts.

Obama installs swinging style door on Iraq Policy
Welcome to the big leagues Obama, maybe you should have thought about things like, oh say the military when you wanted to become the Commander and Chief of one of the largest standing and operational Armies in the world.
It is very easy to say, were gonna bring home the troops. As a supporter of the troops and the war on terrorism and the war in Iraq, most people are right, bring home the troops. But please, before you go and do a silly thing like that, give them the space and resources to finish the job properly.

ok....my darling Sej
Second - when you have a common enemy that is more dangerous to national security, concessions can be made to a point.....and I thought the Democrats want us to believe that we don't belong in Iraq because there are no terrorists...but you can change your stories when it suits you.....now Al Qaida is in Iraq, but thats not the issue....the issue is that we are arming them against Iran.
I think Democrats and Liberals need to make up their mind on the issues before they elect one from their party to the White House. I can see it now...for the first time in the history of the airborne...an entire chalk gets airsick because the Democratic President renigs on orders three times in a row.....yes we are, no were not....yes we are..no were not.....(does Obama even know what the airborne is, or for that matter what a chalk is?)
Make up your minds....then try and corrupt the youth of Americas tomorrow, but they are already confused enough, they don't need your help.
"SKIDOOSH"
Mit
Ok my darling Mit.........
Anyways, perhaps an attack could be more likely with a democrat in office, BUT not for the reasons you are claiming. Maybe its because, for years, major REPUBLICANS have been making deals with the "terrorists" and it would not be in the best interest for them to attack while a republican is in office for the fear of losing clout.
Example #1: Reagan supplied Saddam Hussein with equipment for biological and chemical warfare, while Donald Rumsfeld told Saddam it was cool to use these things against the Iranians.
Example #2: Bush is funding Al-Qaeda linked Sunni folk to attack Iranian targets for him. (Wait I thought that we are in Iraq because we need to "bring al-Qaeda to justice"... I'm confused)
I could roll out the red carpet of facts, but the bottom line is that maybe you are right....maybe the "terrorists" would be more likely to attack if a democrat is in office, but don't think for one minute that it's because our adorable republican politicians are sooo patriotic. Maybe it's because democrats are less likely to make secret pacts. Remember folks: Today's terrorists are yesterday's deal makers.
~~Sej
Call a pear a pear.....
And by saying that a terrorist attack is likely if "your" man Obama is elected is not an attack on him directly, its an attack on the Democratic party. The same things were said about John Ferry, I mean Kerry during the last election. It is a known TRUTH that the democratic party puts no faith in the military, and slashes budgets, slams for troop reductions and and is inactive against threats to national security.
Terrorists are not stupid...attack the United States when a Democrat is in office, deal with a couple of cruise missiles. Attack when a Republic is at the helm and were gonna invade your country and make you pay for your mistaken ideals that you could topple the United States with Cold War era tactics and weapons.
Obama may be a great president in a peaceful world. But even the liberals need to crawl out from under their self-righteous rocks and stop looking out for them and realize, unpopular or not, long or short....we are a nation at war....and need a president that is going to see through that war...not cut our losses and run, inviting more attacks and breeding grounds for terrorists.
Sure vote for Obama, and when the Taliban is back at the U.N. table for Afghanistan I don't want to hear any liberals complaining about terror attacks.
Mit
I have to say it......

Happy Fourth of July
"Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

Baby Clinton
So Clinton cried when, even after warned by the Democratic party not to change their dates of election, when Michigan and Florida were told that their elections were not going to get delegates seated because they violated party rules. The rules were changed to "half" seat each member, but only count their vote as half.
So Clinton cried, saying she will petition the Democratic party again so that the votes are counted completely. Given her past record of crying, well, you get my point.
Now lets fast forward ahead and say that some unholy miracle has occured and Clinton is elected president "again". What if the U.N fails to recognize a U.S. motion, or stand behind us in military action against a regime of terror or dictatorship? What if, God (or Allah, or Yahweh, or whatever you call your God, because its your right) forbid, the terrorists strike on United States soil or other United States interests? Do we really want a President who is going to stand there and cry or are we going to have a president who is going to have the resolve to stand for what they think is the right thing for the American people. Give up Hillary - the majority of people have spoken, and you have been voted off the island.

Iraq and al Sadr
First off - there has been a war going on in Iraq for Five years, where has al Sadr been?
The United States has been fighting factions of al Sadr's Madi Army since the cleric rose to power in Iraq. If he wants his people to stop being targeted by US and Iraqi forces, they should stop the rhetoric, terrorism, and insurgency they are using to continue to strike fear in the hearts of Iraqis.

Face it folks, these guys are the smartest thing since Einstein, they are reading a teleprompter that was written by a college intern who did all the real work.
If you want to work in journalism, actually report the issues, dont select emotionally charge topics and force your opinions onto the viewership. There must be a community where these guys get together and vacation with the likes of Micheal Moore.

The Rant of the Day
But again, thanks to a few zealots, one of the most beautiful treasures, an age old classic that has its roots in the ancient world is defiled and made meanigless. Whats next zealots...pissing on the eternal flame at JFKs grave in an attempt to extinguish it in order to lift the embargo on Cuban cigars?

Movie Review
This is a must see if you like stand-up comedy. For one hour, comic Iglesias takes the viewers on a fun filled adventure that will leave you in stitches. While there is some sexual inuendos and some harsh language, it is not the raunchy comedy that some artists use.
Give it three out of five stars.
Democratic Meltdown
And the fact that a democratic senator from minnesota endorses Obama in one sentence, and then tells Clinton to stay in the race in the next breath, shows the intelligence level of democrats. Maybe there is more to the fact that both rednecks and democrat have seven letters each.

Driving
1. Hang up your cell phone, or get a hands free kit. If you can afford the cell phone, you can afford the hands free set, you can get a decent wired one at the dollar store, or you can get a bluetooth one for no more than thirty dollars.
2. You are hurtling close to a ton of metal and plastic at speeds upwards of 30 miles per hour, having said that, sit up, and put your seat in an upright position. I am tired of seeing drivers laying down while driving.
3. Tinted windows - completely unnecessary, suns in your eyes, get sunglasses. I own several pairs and they all work great. Tinted windows do nothing but promote illegal behavior, like laying down while driving, and talking on your cell phone while driving.

Just a Few Little Things to think about as you hustle through the bustle of life....
1 - First Important Lesson - CleaningLady.
During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade.
"Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say "hello."
I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.
2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain
One night, at 11:30 p.m., an elderly African-American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 60s..The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached..
It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away... God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others."
Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole.
3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve.
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled is hand out of his
pocket and studied the coins in it. "Well, how much is a plain dish ofice cream?" he inquired.
By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient.
"Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied. The little boy again counted his coins.
"I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies..
You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.
4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path.
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the
peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much
pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he
noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand!
Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.
5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts...
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his> face grew pale and his smile faded.
He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away".
Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.
Think of these little stories next time you feel inconvenienced by someone.

Definition of A Veteran
made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and
including my life."
That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no
longer understand it. (In no way am I implying that Sej has a problem with soldiers as individuals, she respects and stands behind their decision to enlist. What she is against is the war and the administrations foreign policy regarding Iraq. I, got this little quote in an email and thought it was fitting to my point.)
The 4,000+ brave men and women who have answered the final roll call in the sky made this vow, that they will allow the United States of America to cash that check in order to protect the freedoms that we all hold dear.
I just read an associated press article that discussed a speech given by McCain where he related that both Gen Petraeus and bin Laden have called Iraq the central battle ground between the United States and Al Qaida. Even if we call into question the motives for starting the war in Iraq, isnt it better that we have armed and trained soldiers fighting the terrorists, instead of allowing them to target innocent civilians and families? I think increased media coverage of the war has humanized the american warrior, someone designed to bear a burden that not many could carry, calling society to question their [the soldiers] actions and bringing their somber, personal ends into the publics eye.
Many forget that those 4,000+ individuals were part of a volunteer army, no one forced them to enlist.

US Death Toll Reaches 4,000
And put it into perspective, world war II, there were almost 300,000 American soldiers killed, we almost hit 4,000 during Operation Overlord alone.
And I know what the comeback to this one is already, and thats why I have to smack this post down, Iraq is an unpopular war, World War II wasn't. Well get the facts straight, in a recent 60 minutes interview the top FBI interrogator in charge of questioning Saddam revealed it, Saddam may not have had the weapons of mass destruction, but he continued the ruse of having them in order to stay in power. He brought the war on when he attempted to "scare" off any would be invaders.
I applaud McCain for telling it like it is. We should stay in Iraq as long as it takes. We wouldn't have become the United States is we backed down. Pull out of Iraq before the job is done and you will have the PKK, Al Qaida, and every other muslim terrorist setting up a headquarters in Iraq. The once proud cradle of civilization will run red as the new cradle of terrorism.
US Death Toll Up to 4,000
Does the administration care? Probably not. They are just using these kids as a mean to no end.
McCain says that if he wins, he intends on staying in Iraq as long as it takes. As long as it takes for what??? Stability? Peace? Well seeing as there is no end in sight after 5 years...maybe its time to move on. Just my opinion.

Movie Review
I am normally a fan of people staying within a genre that they are good at - for example normally I would tell Sandler to stay in comedy. I am also not fond of movies that prey on human emotion, which could have been accomplished in this movie by rehashing raw emotional footage of 9-11.
Kudos to the writers and producing teams that pulled this one off. I am impressed with the outcome, and the means to the outcome. No ones problems were solved outright, but the paths were there for the choosing.
I give it three and a half out of five stars.

War for Oil?
Im gonna really get Sej going with this one right away. I was checking the news and I found this nice little article. Another democratic slant that is trying to economize the Bush administration and their decision to go to war with a terror state. If we went into Iraq for oil, where is the benefit? We now have the puppet government of Iraq and their oil output in our pocket, and yet it still costs me thirty to forty dollars to fill up my little car so I can drive to work. If the war was about oil, it should be costing me less.
Just another democratic attempt to devalue the Bush administration. First they targeted the supposed weapons of mass destruction angle....when they couldnt get blood out of that stone now they turn to the oil angle...I think I would rather watch Keith Olberman while having my molars drilled than listen to any more attempts to justify the Iraqi war, other than the fact that Saddam Hussein was an unstable force in an already unstable region.

Ground Rules
1. Our parents don't hate us. Our names really are not Mit and Sej; were in this to have some fun, and see what real people think about everything. We also have professional careers and don't need the fun we have on this site to conflict with our careers. At no time will we give out any information regarding our real identities other than our opinions. If you can figure it out from there, keep it to yourself.
2. No topic is off limits, however as previously stated, we are professionals, and we will not subject anyone to nor want references to illegal activities.
3. While no topic is off limits, we will attempt to abide by certain rules of netiquette. Having said that, this blog is highly opinionated, if you dont like our opinion, read someone elses blog.
4. As much as we like to think we are right all the time, we arent. If you can prove us wrong, let us know. But I have to warn you, if you are going to air it out and step up to the plate, you best be swinging your A game because we will throw everything back at you.
5. Have fun. Life is too short to be freaking serious all the time.
6. While we appreciate opinions, please avoid racial, homophobic and other potentially disruptive and disrespectful posts. If you are going to make a comment regarding something, make it educational, even if it is a non-serious topic.

Getting it going
Have a topic that you think will peak our interest and get one of us hot under the collar? Email us at mitset@gmail.com and let us know. And then check back and see if your topic made the list! It doesnt have to be serious! But I will warn you, we are both synical and will make fun of you if we deem it necessary. Sarcasm also runs deep between the two of us, so if we do poke fun, thats all it is. Since there is only one email address, if you have a message for either of us as individuals, make sure you make it known in the subject line. It will get read by both of us anyway.
It will take us sometime to get a rhythm going, so bear with us through our initial growing pains. So in the meantime, dont forget to spay and neuter your pets, and vote Republican.
