To help the US get out of Iraq...the rest of the world needs to help Iraq

Now were banning Iraq from the Olympics. The IOC needs to work with Iraq to bring them onto the world stage and stop treating them like a red-headed step child. So there are problems with the Iraqi National Olympic Committee. With time before the opening ceremony and the start of the Olympics; wouldn't it be better to give the Iraqi's something to unite for...like six athletes competing at the Olympics?

I was in Iraq when the soccer team had it's better than average run at the soccer championship..and guess what...the country was quite content with not fighting so much and watching their soccer games. We could almost guarantee an ambush or an IED (improvised explosive device) after games when Iraq lost, but so long as they were winning...things were quite (At least in the area that I was in, cannot speak for the entire country). So the IOC, much like the Democratic Party is causing the military in Iraq more hardship, because now once again we are not treating Iraq like a sovereign nation, but an occupied territory.

Lets start giving Iraq's the international respect they deserve.

Catching Wild Pigs

An interesting read for anyone who is interested. I got this in an email today and could not help but sharing with everyone.

Catching Wild Pigs
>
> A chemistry professor in a large college had some
> exchange students in the class. One day while the class was
> in session the lab professor noticed one young man (exchange
> student) who kept rubbing his back, and stretching as if his
> back hurt.
>
> The professor asked the young man what was the
> matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his
> back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his
> native country who were trying to overthrow his
> country's government and install a new
> communist government.
>
> In the midst of his story he looked at the professor
> and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know
> how to catch wild pigs?'
>
> The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the
> punch line. The young man said this was no joke. 'You
> catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods
> and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin
> to come every day to eat the
> free corn. When they are used to coming every day,
> you put a fence down one side of the place where they are
> used to coming.
>
> When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat
> the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.
> They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue
> until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate
> on the last side. When the pigs, who are used to the free
> corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the
> gate on them and catch the whole herd.
>
> Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They
> run around and around inside the fence, but they are
> caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are
> so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the
> woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.
>
> The young man then told the professor that is exactly
> what he sees happening to America. The government keeps
> pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free
> corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental
> income, tax credit for
> unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies,
> payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine,
> drugs, etc.. while we continually lose our freedoms -- just
> a little at a time.
>
> One should always remember: There is no such thing as
> a free lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a
> service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.
>
> Also, if you see that all of this wonderful
> government 'help' is a problem confronting the
> future of democracy in America , you might want to send
> this on to your friends.
>
> If you think the free ride is essential to your way
> of life then you will probably delete this email, but God
> help you when the gate slams shut!
>
> In this 'very important' election year,
> listen closely to what the candidates are promising you !!
>
> Just maybe you will be able to tell who is about to
> slam the gate on America.
>
> 'A government big enough to give you everything
> you want, is big enough to take away everything you
> have.' -Thomas Jefferson

In other words, its time to take politics back from politicians and back into the hands of the free citizens. We are no longer America, Land of the Free, we are America, Land of the Politician.

Hats off to you....but next time, stay off the road

I have to give proper respect for anyone who can drink enough alcohol to blow a 0.491. Thats right your reading it right...anyone who can drink that much...and survive...let alone attempt to get behind the wheel of a car...deserves some a round at any bar.

But anyone who is capable of drinking to that level should know not to get behind the wheel of a car.

So in the safe pursuit of a past time we have enjoyed since the repealing of Prohibition, bottoms up ye faithful longneck drinkers. But do so carefully and responsibly, and don't drink and drive...and don't supply minors with alcohol.

Pull Your Pants Up

Finally, someone does something about this stupid trend. There is a waistband on a pair of pants for a reason - to go around a persons waist.

This trend was started in prison - and found its way about the streets after that. And to the ACLU that thinks this law targets young men of color - it is, because they are the most frequent abusers of hte waistline. It has nothing to do with the color of their skin though, and everything to do with regaining an image in this country. I hope more cities follow suit.

Another Blue Moon - Its Getting Scary Around Here.

So, if McCain, in his infinite wisdom is afraid that Social Security is broke, and will not last - she he not be a proponent for not using the system to get your benefits if you obviously do not need it? I am sure with his salary as a Congressman, and his wifes fortune, he can live without the just under two thousand dollars a month he gets from social security.

Now I know, he paid into the benefits program, so he deserves to claim it - well apparently people are getting more Social Security than they paid in or the system would not be in trouble. One of the fixes might be that if you make more 100,000 a year, you don't get to collect social security.

McCain has just put himself aligned with people who abuse government social systems like welfare, Medicaid, etc. Just one more reason why I may not be voting come this election period.

If your wondering what I am ranting about, click the title above, "Another Blue Moon" to be redirected to an article published regarding the issue.

FEMA and Looters where are you in the Midwest?

Have you noticed that since the start of the tragedy in the Midwest, no one is pining for government help or looting the local Walmart for television sets that obviously won't work under water. Another obvious blight of social conditions that can't be socially related now could it?

Hopefully you are all sitting down, because this does not happen often, in fact when the sun goes down here I am going to go outside and look to see if there is a blue moon tonight, or even just a full moon; because Mit is about to post something pro-Barack Obama.

I commend him, for being an African-American running for President, and making a comment to other African-Americans to basically stop being lazy and expecting handouts for age old repression claims, and to do something productive about bettering their way of life.

Do not get me wrong, I am not a racist, nor am I a bigot. I do however have a problem with social dregs who feel that society owes them something, and sit around waiting for handouts. This is not an issue that is race related, there are all types of social leeches and pariahs out there. We need to work together as a society to remove such blights to make ourselves look better. Society has but nothing to gain by eliminating the possibility for someone to wait for a handout.

Get a job. Contribute to society. Crime and handouts are not options.

Impeach Bush for Clinton's Crimes

Yes, during a time when Congress should be worried about the rising prices of, well everything, a severely flooded Midwest, raging wildfires in California; lets waste tax payer dollars trying to impeach a President who only did what Clinton was not man enough to do - and that was take on terror, oppression, and tyranny when he had the chance.

Twice Clinton could have told the Sudanese to rid the world of Osama bin Laden. The man still lives - and fights to this day.

Clinton was warned about the problems with Iraq, and how having Saddam in power destablizes a region that is already volatile enough.

But like typical Democrats someone needs to be the fall guy, and it sure isn't going to be someone from the Democratic Party.

Sure impeach Bush, get your revenge for the impeachment of Clinton, and while your at it, burn a flag, and sell stocks to American companies to Al Qaeda. The democratic mockery of the system is astounding. Kucinich isn't trying to impeach Bush because he wants to be the only member of Congress with the balls enough to stand alone for what the Constitution believes - hes playing on social sentiments of anti-Bushism in order to gain reelection. Let the games begin.

Just as an aside - let me make it very clear that I know the GOP is not the poster child for perfect political candidates, but the impeachment is clearly mudslinging based only on the fact that someone else might have dirtier mud.

Sej and her unhealthy obsession with Olbermann

If anyone knows a good psychiatrist please forward his address and phone number care of Sej.

The shrink should be good at counseling young professional women who has too much of an infatuation for a much older journalistic icon.

Donations to the Get Sej of Olbdermann benefit can be sent directly to Mit.

Thank you for your support in helping my friend beat her unhealthy addiction.

On the Essence of Destiny

As the good natured mudslinging continues on our website...I would like to take a minute for those out there who take most of what is said to them, and most of what people say as super serious. Not everything has to be taken at face value. So I offer this quote,

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.

Choose your words, for they become actions.

Understand your actions, for they become your habits.

Study your habits, for they become your character.

Develop your character, for it becomes your destiny.

So before you think about opening your mouth and spouting off venom, fire, brimstone, or mud - think about if this is how you want to be remembered. The world would be a much better place if we all focused on our destiny, starting with the consideration of our thoughts.

Obama installs swinging style door on Iraq Policy

So now that Obama is privy to intelligence that a Presidential candidate is privileged enough to get he says he may have to alter his stance on the war in Iraq and bringing troops home, stating troops may need to stay behind his initial 16 month phase out of operations within the country.

Welcome to the big leagues Obama, maybe you should have thought about things like, oh say the military when you wanted to become the Commander and Chief of one of the largest standing and operational Armies in the world.

It is very easy to say, were gonna bring home the troops. As a supporter of the troops and the war on terrorism and the war in Iraq, most people are right, bring home the troops. But please, before you go and do a silly thing like that, give them the space and resources to finish the job properly.

ok....my darling Sej

First - I never questioned the patriotism of democracts, nor did I say that Republicans were more patriotic.....I stated a proven fact...Republicans support and use the military more than Democrats.

Second - when you have a common enemy that is more dangerous to national security, concessions can be made to a point.....and I thought the Democrats want us to believe that we don't belong in Iraq because there are no terrorists...but you can change your stories when it suits you.....now Al Qaida is in Iraq, but thats not the issue....the issue is that we are arming them against Iran.

I think Democrats and Liberals need to make up their mind on the issues before they elect one from their party to the White House. I can see it now...for the first time in the history of the airborne...an entire chalk gets airsick because the Democratic President renigs on orders three times in a row.....yes we are, no were not....yes we are..no were not.....(does Obama even know what the airborne is, or for that matter what a chalk is?)

Make up your minds....then try and corrupt the youth of Americas tomorrow, but they are already confused enough, they don't need your help.

Mit

Ok my darling Mit.........

This is in response to my good friend Mit's little response to my post. Before I start: (sidenote- the attacks on Sept. 11 happened when a Republican was in office, in case you forgot :)
Anyways, perhaps an attack could be more likely with a democrat in office, BUT not for the reasons you are claiming. Maybe its because, for years, major REPUBLICANS have been making deals with the "terrorists" and it would not be in the best interest for them to attack while a republican is in office for the fear of losing clout.

Example #1: Reagan supplied Saddam Hussein with equipment for biological and chemical warfare, while Donald Rumsfeld told Saddam it was cool to use these things against the Iranians.

Example #2: Bush is funding Al-Qaeda linked Sunni folk to attack Iranian targets for him. (Wait I thought that we are in Iraq because we need to "bring al-Qaeda to justice"... I'm confused)

I could roll out the red carpet of facts, but the bottom line is that maybe you are right....maybe the "terrorists" would be more likely to attack if a democrat is in office, but don't think for one minute that it's because our adorable republican politicians are sooo patriotic. Maybe it's because democrats are less likely to make secret pacts. Remember folks: Today's terrorists are yesterday's deal makers.

~~Sej

Call a pear a pear.....

See the problem with being liberal is, your only allowed to have one view, the one they want you to have. Calling unliberal journalism propaganda is right, it is propaganda, but so is the liberal media. Journalism has become nothing more than a political tool, whether controlled by the right, left, conservative, liberal, GOP or DEM. Its just the way it is.

And by saying that a terrorist attack is likely if "your" man Obama is elected is not an attack on him directly, its an attack on the Democratic party. The same things were said about John Ferry, I mean Kerry during the last election. It is a known TRUTH that the democratic party puts no faith in the military, and slashes budgets, slams for troop reductions and and is inactive against threats to national security.

Terrorists are not stupid...attack the United States when a Democrat is in office, deal with a couple of cruise missiles. Attack when a Republic is at the helm and were gonna invade your country and make you pay for your mistaken ideals that you could topple the United States with Cold War era tactics and weapons.

Obama may be a great president in a peaceful world. But even the liberals need to crawl out from under their self-righteous rocks and stop looking out for them and realize, unpopular or not, long or short....we are a nation at war....and need a president that is going to see through that war...not cut our losses and run, inviting more attacks and breeding grounds for terrorists.

Sure vote for Obama, and when the Taliban is back at the U.N. table for Afghanistan I don't want to hear any liberals complaining about terror attacks.

Mit

I have to say it......

Ok, I feel that although I happen to be very liberal, I am very fair in my arguments, even though I constantly hear attacks on my idealism. But seriously, I've had enough with the hypocrisy beaming from the right wingers. Folks on FauxNews and bloggers like Michelle Malkin say things so ridiculous that I can't even get angry, but I've had enough with being called crazy, nuts, or off the hinge just because I'm liberal. Have you heard some of the stuff that comes out of their mouth....talk about f***** nuts!!!!!! To torture myself, I sometimes watch the right winged propaganda and occasionally read the blogs...and I just read a post talking about the fear/not fear of a terrorist attack, and once again these conservatives are implying that an attack will likely happen if my man Obama gets elected. What makes me giggle is the fact that these are the only things that the republicans have on Obama....these mere suggestions about how something "could" happen because bla bla bla bla bla. If you want to prove a point about someone not being a good candidate, come up with something with substance. Obama is and will always be a better candidate than McSame.

Happy Fourth of July

I just want to wish the families, friends, and loved ones of deployed soldiers across the globe a Happy Independence Day. I shall conclude with a quote that many people should memorize. It wasn't made by a famous President, a civil rights activist, a beatnik, a tree hugger, a war monger, or an average Joe. It was written by a screen writer, and portrayed by an actor. Omitting the first sentence, it can be applied to every day life. And I use this speech to call upon all patriots, for whatever peaceful reason, or freedom bound purpose you have, to join in the global fight on terrorism. Because it is not going to be some alien race, or giant magnet that destroys life on this planet, but the greed, hatred, and general mutual disrespect for others that goes on between social factions. So with that, fight those that stand for tyranny, oppression, fear, and violence - all things that will lead to our annihilation - so that the next generation of Americans, human beings can live in peace and harmony.

"Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!
